Lloyd Banks has announced his upcoming mixtape “V6” has been pushed back.

Lloyd Banks was supposed to be dropping a new mixtape, V6, on his birthday, April 30th. However, the G-Unit rapper announced via Twitter that it’s being pushed back.

The tape should be coming soon after the original date though.

Nas opens up about his inspiration for his new single “Daughters.”

Nas’ new single “Daughters” finds him expressing himself as a father, his failures and joys. XXL spoke to Nas about the single, and here’s what he had to say.

“Yeah man, I guess we’re starting to give you the next chapter,” Nas explained. “It’s like a story in a way. We’re about to give you the next records and give the people the album. That’s just opening up the album to people, it’s go time. We started, ‘Nasty’ been out there for a long time. Then ‘The Don’ that video should drop this week. Then, we open. The book is open. The movie begins. So ‘Daughters’ is like welcome to my world.”

“Man, that’s what I try to put into one song,” Nas added. “Boy, it’s amazing, man. She’s so important to me and she always has been. They grow so fast and time flies man. Before you know it, you’re looking at a little lady.”

“She’s my first kid, my first time watching a child become a teen and a little adult before my eyes,” he continued, poignantly. “That’s one of the most important things in my life. She is. I can’t get away from talking about it. It’s actually one of the first songs I recorded for this album.”

Nas’ album Life is Good drops July 17th.

Fif takes to Twitter to let fans know when his first Gangsta Grillz mixtape is dropping.

50 Cent announced a new mixtape with DJ Drama, The Lost Tape, right after SXSW.

50 revealed via Twitter that the Gangsta Grillz tape is dropping May 15th. The first single off it is going to be premiered tonight on Shade 45, it’s called “Remain Calm.”

50 Cent is asking a block on the sale of Young Buck’s intellectual property, as he says his label, G-Unit, owns Buck’s recordings.

As we previously reported, Young Buck’s intellectual property was going up for grabs due to the rapper’s bankruptcy.

Now The Wall Street Journal reports that 50 Cent, who originally signed Buck in 2004, is laying claim to Young Buck’s assets.

50 says their still-standing record agreement covers pretty much all of Young Buck’s intellectual property, and so his lawyers are asking the judge in Buck’s case to block the sale until they can figure out what Young Buck is and is not allowed to sell.

“The creditors are left with no choice but to file this opposition to ensure that the trustee is not seeking to adversely affect the creditors’ rights in assets that they own, or in which they have rights and interests,” Fif’s attorneys wrote in court papers filed last week.

50 Cent claims that his label owns 100% of all rights of the recordings Buck did for G-Unit, and exclusive rights “tp distribute, reproduce, and authorize adaptations and all performances in whatever form.”
