During a recent interview, Gucci Mane shares some advice for his Brick Squad signee, Chief Keef.

Gucci Mane is known for his trouble with the law, having seen a jail cell multiple times through out his life. Nonetheless, in a new interview, Gucci Mane shows regret for some of his past incidents, and says that he doesn’t want his newest signee, Chief Keef, to follow in his footsteps.

Chief Keef, although not in the rap game for very long, has already established a reputation for himself when it comes to the police. It seems like every other day now we find Keef in the news for an arrest, or some other legal trouble. While talking to Power 107.5 GuWop spoke on his past mistakes, owning up to some of them, but at the same time not letting the media get off too easy.

“I take responsibility for some of that bad stigma that comes from me. A lot of the things I have done, I regret. And a lot of it [I warranted]. A lot of it, it be false claims,” Gucci shared. “Media take it and make they own assumptions…A lot of things don’t have a lot of truth in them…My advice would be to him [Chief Keef], and any other young guy, is to learn from…try not to do the same thing that I did.”

Only time will tell if Keef takes Gucci’s advice.

Gucci Mane has pled not guilty to aggravated assault in Atlanta court today.

Gucci Mane is in and out of jail so often it’s sometimes hard to keep track. The rapper had been arrested in April, and was released on bail shortly after, but he was then arrested (again) the next day, and went to jail for nearly three weeks. Gucci was released on bond (again) almost two weeks ago, and he appeared in court today for his assault incident involving a fan.

GuWop pled not guilty in court to aggravated assault. The incident occured in March when Gucci had been approached by a fan, who also happened to be an Afghanistan vet, at a concert in Atlanta. When the fan had dared to ask a for a photograph, Gucci did not respond well, and broke a champagne bottle on his head. The victim was left with a gash.

Gucci announced via Twitter that Chief Keef will be joining his Bricksquad family.

Gucci Mane has announced that Chief Keef is “the newest member of Bricksquad” via Twitter, alomg with an imgae bearing the logo of “1017 GLO GANG”. This comes as the second large label announcement Gucci has made over twitter, after dropping Waka Flocka Flame from the team a few months back.

There has been no confirmation from Keef’s camp at this point, as well as no word on whether this is just an initiation to the crew, or  there will actually be some sort of label deal as well.
